This summer I was involved in an enriching journey by participating in the summer research program held by KAIST. The experience of learning Korean for a semester as well as thirst for new challenges and a passion for research that transcends geographical boundaries were my main motivation to participate in this program. The program's focus on bio-sensors resonated with my academic goals and aspirations. To be more detailed, I made an EMG, which is electromyography, with the instruction of my mentor. During the program, I learned much about laser cutting. I think I will benefit a lot from the skills I gained in the future. Most importantly, communicating with people from different culture broaden my cultural understandings. Everyday I learned a lot both inside and outside the laboratory.
Reflecting on my time in the program, I believe the experience has laid a solid foundation for my future studies and career path. The advanced research skills and the global network I developed are invaluable assets that will undoubtedly enhance my capability to contribute to my field at an international level. The exposure to a diverse academic culture has also instilled in me a profound appreciation for collaborative research and an eagerness to engage in future international projects.
